Update of things to come

While things have been pretty quiet here on the blog for the last month (yeesh, has it really been that long?), real life has been quite another story.

Mid-December (yes, outdoor portraits in the winter!) I had the pleasure of meeting up with a great friend of mine to do a photo session on the Plaza with her family while her sis was in town from NC. I will have those photos on here shortly. They were such a silly bunch! I always have so much fun with them!

Last Saturday, January 5th, I shot a wedding alongside my mom, Karen, who is also a photographer (http://www.liliesofthefieldphoto.com/), at the Oak Grove Baptist Church for Meagan & Nathan's wedding. Thankfully the day was really nice for the beginning of January & the weather was fairly mild. We were so worried, with the way December had been every weekend, that the wedding would be full of ice and snow. For example, here it is January 8th and yesterday it was in the 60's & today it's snowing! You just never know!

I can't wait to post photos of their wedding & as soon as I'm done editing you will get a peek of their day.

Besides portraits and weddings (Ahh, wedding planning season has finally arrived!) we are in the process of moving to a new house which has become a rather large project of fixing things up (somehow there's this odd snowball effect with renovations--why is that?? I'm almost certain there's some sort of law named for this phenomena) and packing in order to move in 2 weeks. Thankfully our list of things to do is getting shorter & more manageable!

Then, when I am all caught up with the above things and let you all get a glimpse of the recent events going on maybe, just maybe, I'll have time to post some pics from our family vacation during the 1st week in October! And that is embarrassing it's been so long & still have not had time to even look at all the pictures I took... (can you hear me weeping?) But, that's the way real life goes sometimes! ;o)

Until next time...take care!
